As you watch this video, you might be wondering about the whole "topology" aspect. That term used to mean more than it does today, so just take it in as food for thought. Local Area Networks are almost universally laid out the same way today, Ethernet over either fiber or copper going to a "switch."  Or, it's just a bunch of devices connected via WiFi.  Like I said, watch the video but don't think that you need to have a mastery of what a network topology is.  I can go in depth on the topic if you'd like, just give me a shout.
